Gregory Finney is the Director of Civil Litigation at the Law Offices of Manuel Solís PC. He participates in the management of all aspects of litigation, strategic planning, and policy formulation, and helps to maintain the organizational effectiveness of the company's civil litigation division.
He began his legal career in 2004, working as a law clerk, and later as a lawyer for legendary Houston trial lawyer John M. O'Quinn. Mr. Finney's experience includes working with premier litigation firms in Texas, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Finney's experience includes trial and arbitration appearances, along with several appellate arguments.
Mr. Finney focuses on litigation, and his broad experience includes Complex Commercial, Fraud, Employment, Energy, Real Property and Fiduciary Litigation, Corporate and Partnership Disputes, Multi-Modal Transportation, Mass, Class, MDL Litigation, product defect, and Aviation Accident Litigation.
Mr. Finney’s experience includes Construction Defect and Property Damage matters involving complex engineering issues and catastrophic damages. Mr. Finney also has significant first-party insurance and reinsurance litigation experience. He has represented clients in various oil and gas, commercial property, and business transactions.
Before Attending law school, Mr. Finney worked as a High School science and math teacher. Mr. Finney was born and raised in Texas, and except for a few years spent serving in the U. S. Navy, has always called Texas home. His family has deep roots in Texas, with relatives arriving in this state as early as 1824, including multiple land grant Texans. One of which was a member of Stephen F. Austin’s “Old Three Hundred,” and one who fought in the Battle of San Jacinto. Mr. Finney lives in Katy, Texas, and enjoys fishing and shooting sports.
