CHICAGO VOTED THE MOST FRIENDLY CITY OF THE UNITED STATES FOR IMMIGRANTS

Most of the cities in the Midwest of the United States have taken an excellent note regarding relations with immigrants living in them, according to the report prepared by the New American Economy.

An annual report prepared by the New American Economy group has listed the 50 cities closest to immigrants living there. Leading the list; Chicago, the city that, after this announcement, officially becomes the city where immigrants live best in the United States.

To make this report, the research group uses up to 51 factors that determine the well-being of immigrants living in the city, such as official language policy or employment among others.

The immigrant population of Chicago already reaches 1/5 of the total population, with 1/4 of the purchasing power that becomes $ 17 billion in income and up to $ 6 billion in taxes paid between the state and the federal government.

Chicago has for many years developed many policies dedicated to protecting undocumented immigrants and, in particular, DACA recipients who now look forward to their final destination after President Trump's new policies.
